Our Story

Hope Between Rounds

Hope Between Rounds was founded by a woman diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer who, like so many others, faced not only the fear of cancer but the harsh reality of its treatment. Determined to fight for her life without sacrificing her long-term health, she began searching for ways to reduce the damage caused by chemotherapy--particularly the debilitating neuropathy, potential heart damage, and lasting cognitive effects. Her journey led her to intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG), a therapy with the potential to protect and support the body throughout treatment. When she discovered that clinical trials to validate this approach were underfunded or nonexistent, she launched Hope Between Rounds to change that. Today, the organization stands as a testament to her determination to make cancer treatment more humane for millions of others.

At Hope Between Rounds, our mission is to change the way cancer treatment is experienced.  Chemotherapy saves lives, but the toll it takes on the body can be devasting. We believe healing shouldn't be an afterthought--it should be built into every step of care.  That's why we are dedicated to funding groundbreaking clinical trials that explore the use of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) as a supportive therapy between chemotherapy rounds.  By reducing treatment-related toxicity, preserving strength, nerve and cognitive function, support bone marrow recovery,  and protecting vital functions, strengthen immunity  without compromising cancer-fighting efficacy.  Our goal is to help patients not only survive cancer but endure treatment with dignity, hope, and a better quality of life.
